Since the Covid-19 lockdown came into force, Blaby District Council has seen a huge increase in environmental crime being reported, almost two times as much per month on the previous year. The Government announced this morning the tiers that each areas will go into when lockdown ends on Wednesday 02 December. The whole of Leicester and Leicestershire (including Blaby District) will be in Tier 3, the "Very High Alert" tier.

The first 39 applications to help young people into work have been submitted to the Government's Kickstart Scheme.
Blaby District Council has volunteered to be a gateway for small businesses to take advantage of the scheme, which helps those aged 16-24 years old and on Universal Credit into six-month job placements.
