The first 39 applications to help young people into work have been submitted to the Government's Kickstart Scheme.
Blaby District Council has volunteered to be a gateway for small businesses to take advantage of the scheme, which helps those aged 16-24 years old and on Universal Credit into six-month job placements.

This is a collaboration of Churches Together in Blaby working alongside community volunteers to provide Special Gift Parcels for Christmas to those identified as needing financial support at this very trying and difficult time.

Garden waste collections in the District of Blaby will be suspended for two weeks from Monday 16 November due to staff shortages as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Blaby Parish Council have unfortunately made the decision not to go ahead with this Christmas Light Switch On 2020.
The Council could not make this event safe for the huge amount of people that attend this event every year.
The lights will still be erected and switched on on Friday 27th November 2020 but there will be no grand switch on or event alongside this.
