Blaby Parish Council are excited to announce that they have been successful in winning the Green Flag Community Award 2020/21 for Oakfield Park!
The staff have worked extremely hard to allow the park to reach this status and we are so proud of everybody that has been involved in the process of obtaining the award.

Blaby Parish Council has been extremely lucky to secure the delivery of 420 tree saplings from The Woodland Trust!
The tree saplings will be delivered between 2nd - 20th November.
We would love for YOU to tell us where within the Parish you'd like to see some new trees planted?
Is there an area that you think would benefit from some saplings? Maybe somewhere that could do with a little more greenery?... Read More »

As of 29th July 2020, the Parish Council owned playgrounds and gym equipment within Blaby shall re-open.
We kindly ask that people use all of the equipment responsibly, not using the equipment if you feel unwell, observing social distancing where possible, sanitising hands before and after use, taking all rubbish with you when you leave the park and being mindful of other users.

This is a reminder that the parks in Blaby continue to stay closed. There has been some confusion about whether or not they are open but they will remain closed until further notice.
The Parish Council have given great thought to the guidelines surrounding parks and open spaces and feel that, at this time, the Parish Council cannot implement all guidelines well enough to keep residents safe.

Enderby Road Allotments

Unfortunately, Finding Fitness have had to cancel their Half Term Sports Club that is due to run at Oakfield Park on 14th - 17th April 2020.
The Sports Club will be re-arranged for another week during the year but we will let you know we have confirmed a date.

The Crescent Park will be closed on Wednesday 26th February due to resurfacing repairs to the surface around the slide.

CAR PARK CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Due to an incident which occurred on Sunday, 2nd February the height barrier leading into Oakfield Park car park was damaged.
Due to the damage caused the barrier must remain locked until further notice.
